Valentine's Chocolate Treat Pull

This is the last project we made at my New Catalog Open House, a Chocolate Pull Treat.  The directions can be found here.  I used a 6x6 piece of cardstock instead of 6x7 so that I could get 4 pieces out of a 12x12 piece of cardstock.

Recipe:
Stamps: Love You Much
Paper: Candy Lane DSP, Riding Hood Red. Close to Cocoa, and Pink Pirouette
Accessories: Scallop punch, scallop edge punch, heart to heart punch, striped grosgrain ribbon

More Raspberry Tart & Petal Pizzaz

This is another card that we made last night at my New Catalog Open House.  I enjoyed showing off the Petal Pizzaz and Raspberry Tart paper.  I love how this stamp fits the scallop punch.  For the petals, I used the small oval punch.  After I punched them out, I just trimmed the point of the petals.

Here are some more samples of cards that one of my customers asked me to post these for her so she can look at them everyday ;)

Sweet Stems

This is one of the cards that we made at my New Catalog Open House.  I saw it in Stampin' Success, Stampin' Up!'s newsletter.  It is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4".  I love the new emosslits dies that emboss and cut out the images.  They are so fun!  I also used the new eyelet border punch.  Don't you love the look of the punch?  Stay tuned for more projects from last night!

More Awards

I've received a few more awards this past week.

I received the Proximity Award from Tracy.

Blogs who receive the Proximidade Award invest and believe in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships.  They are exceedingly charming.  These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends.  They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement.  Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated!

And the Butterfly Award from Kirsten.

And the Lovely Blog Award from Heather.

And lastly the Marie Antoinette Award from Judy.

Thanks so much ladies!

Ribbon Threading

This is one of the projects by Jessica we did at our meeting last week that I promised to show you.  It is super cute and easy to create the ribbon flower.  You start by punching a hole in the middle and at the end of each petal.  You thread the ribbon through the center hole and then to the end of the petal hole and back through the center to the next petal hole until you thread the ribbon through the center at the end and adhere it to the back of the flower.  We added a rhinestone brad to the middle to add some bling.  Isn't that fun?

Stamp Set:  One of a Kind
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Apricot Appeal
Ink:  Pretty in Pink, Apricot Appeal
Accessories:  Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon, rhinestone brad, celery grosgrain ribbon

Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year!  It's the year of the Ox.  To celebrate I made some paper lanterns.  They are super easy to make and fun to decorate with!  I used real red textured cardstock for the first one.  I stamped some images from the Eastern Influence stamp set in basic gray randomly on the paper.

For this paper lantern, I used the Candy Lane DSP.  To make one of these lanterns start with a 6x9 piece of cardstock or dsp.  Score it at 1/2", 3", and 5 1/2" with the 6" side across the top.

Fold in half and then open.  Fold the back ends at the score lines and adhere down.

Use paper cutter to cut lines from the top border to the bottom border every 3/4".

Curve ends around and adhere together using sticky strip.

Cut a handle 7" x 3/4" and adhere to sides with brads.

Pocket Full of Love

I love making pocket cards!  Here is a simple one using the Love You Much Bundle.  I stamped cute love birds in the corner and punched out a heart to go between them.  I added some more hearts on the lip of the card as well.

Next week, I will be showing you some of the new goodies from the new catalog!  I can't wait to start playing with everything!

Top Note Card

I've been wanting to try a Top Note Card.  It was super easy!  I cut a piece of cardstock to 4" x 10 and folded it in half and placed it partway on the die so the top of the die was showing.  I added some Raspberry Tart DSP and some flowers from Petal Pizzaz with some leaves from the exclusive SU Birds and Blooms die.  I think these make really cute cards!  Tonight is our monthly meeting, so I'm excited to see what projects we will be doing!  I will share them with you next week!

A Sketch Challenge

Two posts in one day, it's incredible!  I decided to try another sketch challenge on SplitCoast and here is what I came up with.  I used Sweet Always DSP as my color inspiration.  So I had to use the coordinating Always set.

Mmm, I have this funny craving for chocolate now.  I wonder where that came from?   Off to hunt for some chocolate.

Box in a Bag

I've seen quite a few of these boxes in a bag and finally got the chance to try one.  It was quick and fun to put together.  The directions can be found here.  I used some Riding Hood Red DSP and some pink pirouette for the base.  I stamped the pink pirouette in riding hood red with the Bella Toile background.  I added some flowers from the Boho Blossoms Punch and some pink rhinestone brads down the middle.

Don't forget to RSVP to my New Catalog Open House next Thursday the 29th!  We'll be making three great projects that you won't want to miss!  To RSVP, just email me.

A Color Challenge

I was looking for a bit of inspiration and decided to try out this color challenge on SplitCoast.  I think it is a really pretty color combination: kiwi kiss, regal rose, and bravo burgundy.  I used the new Petal Pizzaz stamp set and Raspberry Tart DSP.

Valentine's Day Card

This is a card I made with the Love You Much Bundle.  I really like being able to pull the colors from the Designer Series Paper so I don't have to try to figure out what colors to put together.  I used pink pirouette, riding hood red, very vanilla, and close to cocoa as the colors for my card.  I added a pink pirouette felt flower with a brad, and some riding hood red ribbon.

Stay tuned for more Valentine's Day projects this week!
