Nature Walk Card

The new Botanical Gazette dsp from the Occasion Mini catalog is just gorgeous! I love each sheet and found it hard to cut up. But when I saw Iliana's card, I decided to start cutting! I love how the Nature Walk stamp set coordinates beautifully with this dsp. I stamped some images from the Clearly for You stamp set in crumb cake around the bird.

Happy Birthday Punch Bunch card

This was a simple card that can be put together in a jiffy for a birthday. I used the Happy Birthday from the Punch Bunch stamp set and layered it on a scalloped square. I wheeled the three new builder wheels - Delight in Gladness, Butterfly Bliss, and Pleasing Polka Dots - in river rock on river rock cardstock. I scalloped the edge and layered it on some wild wasabi and marina mist. I added a band of marina mist grosgrain and attached the sentiment with the 1/8" marina mist taffeta ribbon.

Easter Blossoms

Easter Blossoms is one of my new favorite stamp sets! This card was inspired by Wendy's card. I love the silhouette of the little girl with her basket of eggs. It reminds me of my daughter who loves to collect eggs for Easter! I also love the blossoms on the tree. I can see this stamp being used on an Asian card as well as a Spring card. I used perfect plum and the Sizzix Scallop Oval die to create the scalloped circle. I also used the new Sweet Buttons Embosslit for the buttons. Here's hoping Spring is coming soon!

Pressed Fun Flowers Card

I saw some pressed flower cards and decided to try making one and I love the result! This is the make-n-take card from my previous workshop. I cut out the flower from the new Fun Flower Sizzix die from the Occasions mini catalog as well as the little leaves, scallop oval, and top note dies.

We adhered the flower and leaves to the oval and put them in the Finial Press embossing folder. Then we layered it on the so saffron top note die and added Happy Birthday from the Perfect Punches stamp set layered on some Riding Hood Red punched out with the Designer Label Punch. We added some old olive ribbon around the top note die to finish the card. So fun!

Sweet Summer

I love watercoloring and the Sweet Summer Sale-a-Bration stamp set is perfect for watercoloring! I used my blender pens to color in the flowers and leaves with baja breeze and old olive. I used some of the So Saffron Patterns DSP for the background and added a strip of scalloped baja breeze. I was inspired by Iliana's card here. I added the little butterfly and some old olive ribbon to finish the card.

Punch Bunch Owl

Here is a cute little owl from the Sale-a-bration Punch Bunch stamp set. The original card I saw is by Iliana. I used the coordinating Sale-a-bration Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper & Quick Accents Pack. I added a button from the Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon & Button Pack. I punched out a branch from the Bird punch for the owl to sit on. I used the thanks from the So Happy for You sale-a-bration stamp set too!

Baby Shower

Last weekend my mother-in-law and I threw a baby shower for my sister-in-law. We are so excited to have another little one join our family! Here are some of the items I made for the shower. The first is a Baby Boy Pennant using Stampin' Up!'s Pennant die. I cute out the large pennant in baja breeze and then added a very vanilla designer series paper with dots on top. I added a scallop circle ball made with 4 scallop circles from the Pennant die and added a picture of Kanga and Roo on the front of each scallop circle ball.

The next item I made is a baby book for attendees to write a little note to my sister-in-law and her baby wishing them well! I used some baja breeze patterns designer series paper to cover the front of the book. I added another picture of Kanga and Roo layered with a baja breeze circle and a very vanilla scallop circle.

Here are the baby shower favors that I made. I wasn't sure how many people were coming so I made fifty! Thanks to my stamping group for helping me assemble all of them! I used the Scallop Squares Duo Sizzix die from the Holiday Mini catalog that is still available to order. I layered a piece of baja breeze embossed with the perfect polka dots embossing folder next. Then I added a picture of Kanga and Roo layered on a baja breeze circle and a very vanilla scallop circle.

Here is an individual picture of the front.

For the treat we placed four white chocolate in a cello bag and adhered it to the scallop square.

Eat Chocolate

I wonder how many pounds of chocolate are consumed for Valentines Day. The Eat Chocolate stamp set from the Occasions mini catalog is the perfect set to go with any chocolate gift giving. I used Mary's card as inspiration, but added three button embosslits instead of the roses.

Happy Valentine's Day! Happy chocolate eating and gift giving!

Bliss

The Bliss Sale-a-bration set it one of my favorites! It is so pretty! The inspiration for this card was from Iliana. I stamped the swirl image in vanilla and then offset in marina mist to create a shadow. I added some of the First Edition DSP from the Occasions mini catalog to the bottom and scrunched up some marina mist taffeta to add across the newsprint.

There is still time to receive a free sale-a-bration item with every $50 purchase!

Create a Cupcake

The new Create a Cupcake stamp set and the coordinating punch are so much fun to create with! I punched out the icing and then embossed with with the perfect polka dots embossing folder. I stamped the cupcake base in early expresso and punched it out as well. I used a texture plate for the crumb cake background and added a banner from the petal cone sizzix die.
I added a little cherry on top of the cupcake. Mmmm, my mouth is watering for a strawberry cupcake!

Valentine's Boutique items

My friend has been asking me to make some items for her Valentine's Boutique so I managed to make a few things for her boutique. The first is a Ghirardelli Chocolate Box. I tucked three Raspberry Dark Chocolate pieces inside! I have made these boxes before and thought they would be perfect for a Valentine Boutique.

This is scallop square treat holder that I have made before and had some scallop squares already scored and cut out. I just added some embellishments on the sides with the small heart punch and designer label punch. I added some chocolate kisses and a bow.

Dora Valentine Treats

My daughter loves Dora. She has Dora everything and can spot Dora anything in any store! So I knew she would love these Valentines that I made for her. When she saw them she said, "Oh thank you Mom!" in her most excited voice! I put them on the top shelf because she keeps trying to take them and hold them. I even found them in the car ready to go.

Making these cute lollipop Valentine's treat holders is easy to do! I used the Two Tags Sizzix tie and the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder. I added a "Be My Valentine" sentiment from the Filled with Love stamp set on the heart shaped lollipops. I added Dora layered on a scalloped embossed heart and used some real red grosgrain ribbon to tie the tag together.

I made a cute little box with the Scallop Envelope die to hold all her cute little Dora Valentines! I wish I could be a bug on the wall in her preschool when she hands them out!

Valentine's Heart Box

This is the perfect box to put your Valentine's Day treats and gifts in! I saw this box by Debbie that uses the Movers and Shapers die and changed it to a Valentine's Heart box.

I rolled the I {Love} Love jumbo wheel across the top and added a window sheet behind the heart. I added a Scalloped Heart of Hearts with the Be my Valentine punched out with the Designer Label Punch.

Here is a video tutorial of how I made the box:

Valentine Petal Cone

The Sizzix Petal Cone die is so fun! I used the En Francais background stamp on each side and then layered each scallop with some real red. I used the Notably Ornate stamp set for the banner and part of the swirl stamp for the flaps. I added some real red satin ribbon for a handle as well as some chocolate kisses!
