Snowflake Christmas Peek a boo Shutter Card

We made this card at my last stamp club night. It was a fun card to make because the inside has a little surprise when you open the card! For the front of the card I used the snowflake die and some Marina Mist DSP.

Inside I decorated the card with snowflakes from the Northern Frost die and stamps from the Bright Hopes stamp set.

To create the card I started with one 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece of card stock scored at 2-1/8" from each end of the 8-1/2" side. I added a piece of 5-1/2 x 3-1/4" for the center piece inside that I punched with the 1-3/4 circle and then used the circle to attach my large snowflake to. The two sliding pieces of dsp are 2" x 3" and I scored them at 1/4" so that they would attach to the sides of the card.

Here is the video tutorial that I watched to create this card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Bright Hopes
Ink: Marina Mist
Paper: Marina Mist, Marina Mist DSP
Snowflake Sizzix die
Northern Frost Decorative Strip
1-3/4" Circle Punch

Snowflake Card

I love Snowflakes! I remember wishing for snow so that we wouldn't have school and we could go play out in the snow. Now that I live in sunny California I don't see much snow anymore, but snowflakes still hold the magic that I felt during my childhood. To add some bling to my snowflake, I used the two-way glue pen on the ends of the snowflake and then dipped each end in Dazzling Diamonds glitter!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Four the Holidays
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Whisper White
Dazzling Diamonds glitter
Ink: White Craft ink
Ribbon: Retired Marina Mist Satin
Snowflakes Originals Die
Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder
Northern Frost Decorative Strip Sizzlit Die

Christmas Petite Pocket with Tag

I saw a beautifully decorated Petite Pocket and tag on Shelli's blog and wanted to create a Christmas version. I used watercolor wonder crayons to color directly on the stamp and spritzed it with water and then stamped on the tag. I popped up the Decorative Label on dimensionals and then used the Boho Blossom punch to punch out a poinsettia from an embossed piece of real red card stock that I had run through the Big Shot with the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder. I added a drop of Dazzling Details in the middle of the poinsettia.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Pines & Poinsettias
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Real Red, Wil Wasabi
Ink: Chocolate Chip,
Punches: Boho Blossoms, Lace Ribbon Border

I simply used some Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper to dress up the box and the Fancy Flower Punch and Fun Flower die to create a flower for the top. I added some Chocolate Chip Striped Grosgrain ribbon to tie up the box. I made some cookies with the Sweet Pressed Cookie stamps and tucked them inside and gave them to my hostesses last month.

Pines & Poinsettias Christmas Card

I have been busy making all kinds of fun Christmas cards! Here is the first one I'd like to share with you. I saw a lovely box in the Stampin' Success Magazine and decided to redesign it as a card. I used the Pines & Poinsettias stamp set and the Decorative Label Punch. I trimmed out the Merry Christmas and the pinecones and raised them up on dimensionals. I used the Snow Burst embossing folder and used a sponge dauber to rub white craft ink all over the Cherry Cobbler card stock. I added a strip of the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper and a Wild Wasabai scalloped with the scalloped edge punch. I wrapped some Cherry Cobbler quilted ribbon and added a Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Button.

Stitched Stockings Christmas Card

Yes, I'm in love with the Stitched Stocking stamp set and its coordinating stocking builder punch! I'm having lots of fun creating cute Christmas cards! I saw this fun color combination of Pool Party, Pear Pizzaz and Wisteria Wonder, and although it's not the typical Christmas color combination I think it actually works really well for Christmas! I used the new Snowburst embossing folder on each stocking. Then I embossed the Merry Christmas from the beautiful Hand Penned Holidays stamp set and added a little jingle bell the the middle stocking.
